PEGKAP-NY provides with a complete social care, services and protection program to mentally disabled. or Autistic individuals and children, that specializes through the fundamental actions of Chalandri Day Care Centre (DCC) with capacity of twenty (20) individuals with a perspective of growth. They are occupied by Attica’s Regional Operations Plan (NSRF) for the provision of daily care for twenty (20) M.D. or autistic individuals for six (6) years.

The Day Care Centre of PEGKAP-NY provides the following services to the 30 beneficiaries:

• Transport from and to the Day Care Center, with buses, specially built and formed for the beneficiaries’ needs.

• Their Daily Care.

• Their provision with a healthy meal, that includes seasonal fruits.

• Their education and management of their personal needs in hygiene issues and self-service.

• Their occupational therapy in individual as well as in group level, with the aid to improve their skills in various fields of living. On individual level, through specialized activities, to enhance their functionality and exercise in cognitive functions. On group level, providing creative occupation of PEGKAP-NY like handicrafts, PC, household economy, gardening, greenhouse and more.

• Special Physical Education program, for the improvement of their physical state.

• Medical Support and Monitoring.

• Psychological support of the beneficiaries and their families.

• Social support and integration to the community with:

1. Recreational Exits and Socialization Programs (cafes, museums, exhibitions and more).

2. Participation in our theatrical team and in PEGKAP-NY’s choir

3. Educational and recreative excursions

4. Participation in cultural events the city

5. Exchange of visits in similar organization in the community under the umbrella of networking actions

6. Participation in sports events such as the Greek Track & Field Events for Individuals with special needs

7. Participation in various events of Local Government organizations, contact with students of all grades through visits and in-house internship.

8. Participation in camps held by POSGKAmeA.
